Dear Customers:

As part of the continuing effort to help slow the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Shinhan Bank America has temporarily adopted a number of preventative measures:

      1. Our Branch Office Hours have been temporarily adjusted (Until further notice)

Monday – Friday:            9:30 am – 3:30 pm

Saturday:                             Closed

      1. Trying to maintain social distancing. We may ask you to, also, keep the social distancing.
      2. We encourage you to use Drive Thru where applicable.

We continue to clean our branches and ATMs as often as possible.

We recommend you follow the CDC guidelines to help slow the COVID-19 spread:

      • Stay home if you are sick
      • Maintain the social distance (at least 6 feet from others)
      • Clean your hands often and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands

We would also like to inform you of possible scams and fraud related to COVID-19. You can find more information from the Federal Trade Commission Website.

Northern 150 branch is temporarily closed until Tuesday April 28, 2020, for cleaning and disinfection after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus (“COVID-19”) on April 14, 2020 as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

If you have visited Northern 150 branch between March 27, 2020, and April 14, 2020, you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and we encourage you to contact your healthcare provider for further instructions or practice self-quarantine.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

We know these are difficult times, but together, we shall strive for a better tomorrow. Please know that we are here for you and are ready to assist our customers and community.

In response to the extraordinary challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, Shinhan Bank America is offering a support program to residential mortgage customers who have been experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For those who need help making mortgage payments, we encourage you to complete and submit this application form to consumerlending@shbamerica.com at your earliest convenience.

We are also implementing the following fee relief program until April 30, 2020:

  • Automated teller machines (“ATMs”) fees operated by Shinhan Bank America and any credit card late fees will be waived.
  • Overdraft fees may be waived or mitigated for any who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of Covid-19, which will be assessed by application. Please submit this application to your local branch and we will respond as soon as possible.

Please kindly understand that we are experiencing high volumes of requests, but we will do our best to process your request as soon as we can. If you have any questions regarding the above, or of other available relief programs, please do not hesitate to contact one of our branches or call toll free number 1-877-770-SHBA (7422) during office hours for more details.

The health and safety of our customers and employees are our top priority amid concerns about the spread of the Coronavirous (COVID-19). We are closely monitoring the latest reports from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and taking certain precautionary steps in accordance with CDC guidance.

We encourage you to access your account from home using Shinhan Bank America online or Mobile Banking, where you can access your account 24/7.

Services available through online and mobile banking:

If you need to visit our branches, please know that our branch teams have increased daily cleaning procedures with the use of disinfectant products on high-touch surfaces and has been educated to follow the preventive practices recommended by the CDC.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and to work hard to provide you with uninterrupted services as best as we can.

For your safety, CDC Recommends:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick and keep distance about 6ft from other people.
  • Stay home when you are not feeling well.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.

Important Notification: We are upgrading to a new banking system

Dear customers,
We are pleased to inform you that we are upgrading our banking system for debit cards to provide you with better experience.
Our system conversion will take place on Monday, June 18, 2018. During this time, you would still be able to activate cards, report lost or stolen cards, and change PIN’s.
Please be informed that from 2:00 AM EST to 8:00 AM EST on Monday, June 18, 2018, the debit card usage limit will be temporary decreased to $200.00 regardless of your account type or available balance. We apologize for any inconvenience that might be caused by our banking system upgrade.
What Will Change after the System Upgrade?

  • Debit Card Lost/ Stolen Number Changes to 800-472-3272
  • Debit Card Activation Number Changes to 800-992-3808

More enhanced services will be coming in the future including SMS fraud alert.
