10. How do I make a stop payment on a personal check?
You can request a stop payment by calling, faxing, or visiting your Local Branch Office. Please have the following information ready: check number, date written, exact amount, and payee. If the amount and check number are not correct, the check may be paid. Please note that the stop payment cannot take effect for checks that have already been presented and it will only be effective for six months.

11. Does an ATM or Debit Card come with my checking account?
Yes. You are entitled to receive a Debit Visa Card with your new checking account. We also offer an ATM card for an alternate choice for certain customers.

12. How do I activate my ATM or Debit Card?
To activate your ATM or Debit Card, just use your card with your current PIN at any Shinhan Bank America ATM or POS terminal. Debit Card holders may start use their cards as signature based once they are activated.

13. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
