If you have clear purpose to open a checking account in America, you can just bring your passport and visit nearest Shinhan Bank Branch

3. Can I get Deposit Secured Loan with the collateral, which is provided by 3rd party?
Yes, if it is a Parent's Bank's deposit accounts, and the 3rd party agrees to provide it as collateral.

4. What kind of Real Estates are eligible for Real Estate Collateral Trust Loan?
Apartment, Single Family Home, or Commercial Building

5. What are eligible conditions for above two loans, and is it possible to get loan without SSN?
- Both of loans do not require SSN.
Deposit Secured Loan: Borrower can be individual or corporation, and collateral account can be Korean \ (within 80% of deposit amount) or US $ (within 95% of deposit amount) account with Shinhan Bank in Korea. Loan purpose has to be cleared, such as purchasing of real estate or business.
Real Estate Collateral Trust Loan: This is available to U.S. residents only (Citizens, permanent residents, or E2 Visa holders), and collateral is Certificate of Real Estate Collateral, which will be collateralized by Shinhan Bank in Korea. Loan amount is up to 60~70% of appraisal value.
